VITAL VOICES

VITAL VOICES

On Women’s Equality Day, I am joined in conversation with two of the most powerful women I know, Bozoma Saint John and Alyse Nelson.

Bozoma has run nearly every aspect of the corporate world throughout her career. From Apple to Uber and now, as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Netflix, she has most likely had great influence in your life, whether you know it or not. Though Boz embodies the word “success,” perhaps the most impressive aspects not on her resume are her integrity and soul. Admittedly, these two words do not often cross over in the corporate world. Boz is here to redefine the game.

“INVEST IN WOMEN. IMPROVE THE WORLD.”
— Vital Voices

Alyse Nelson was 21 years old when she watched First Lady Hillary Clinton famously declare, “women’s rights are human rights.” Shortly thereafter, Alyse and Mrs. Clinton co-founded Vital Voices Global Partnership with this statement in mind: Invest in Women, Improve the World. Vital Voices searches the globe for bold women leaders with daring vision for change, then partners with them to make that vision a reality. To date, Alyse and Vital Voices have worked alongside 18,000 female visionaries, using their power to empower.

While we collectively recognize there is still a long way to go when it comes to gender equality, today we honor the power, strength, and unwavering resilience of women.

As Bozoma so perfectly states: “Walk your walk girls. Walk boldly. Walk in your truth, and no one else’s.”

Walk your Walk.

Kindest,

Kate
